Catherine was appointed ECA’s General Secretary in August 2015. Prior to that, she served for 5 years as the association’s EU Affairs Manager. Before joining ECA, she held positions at the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, the European Association of Chambers of Commerce and at Hill & Knowlton.
Administration & Communications Officer
Jérôme is ECA’s Administration & Communications Officer. Jérôme holds a Master’s degree in Translation (English/German) and has experience working abroad and in European Associations in the Brussels area.
Director – Food Safety & Quality
Julia is ECA’s Director – Food Safety & Quality. Initially trained as a chemist, Julia obtained her PhD in Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge, studying properties of microbial food contaminants. Before joining ECA, Julia worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at the KU Leuven investigating molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases.
Director of Sustainability
Maria is ECA’s Director of Sustainability. Graduated with a Master’s degree in Political Sciences and European Affairs and a Post-Graduate degree in International Organisations, Maria has previously worked in the EU institutions, as well as for the private sector in trade, energy and sustainability policies.
EU Food Safety & Quality Officer
Jakub is ECA’s EU Food Safety & Quality Officer. Graduated in European Studies, Jakub has previously worked as an EU Policy Consultant, on projects covering the agri-food sector.
EU Environment & Sustainability Officer
Aldo is ECA’s EU Environment & Sustainability Officer. Aldo holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and has working experience as an EU Policy Advisor in Brussels for the past years.
EU Trade & Communications Officer
Efthymia is ECA’s EU Trade & Communications Officer. Graduated in International and European Studies, Efthymia has worked in both Brussels and London and has previous experience within the Association, supporting the organisation of the European Cocoa Forum 2019.
