Michiel has a 20+ year track record in tropical agricultural commodity projects that involve small scale producers, exporters and manufacturers of consumer goods. He is leading various impact assessment and modelling projects in coffee and cocoa in Africa, Latin America and Asia and has great affinity with farm level applied research and sophisticated analytics. He has developed large scale (semi-)commercial investment programs in various commodity sectors for corporate, finance and governmental clients and holds a degree in tropical agriculture.
