Antoine Haouchine is an International Policy Officer at the Directorate-General for Environment of the European Commission, within the Directorate “Green Diplomacy and Multilateralism.” He has strong expertise in international forest policy and extensive experience in both European and international environmental affairs. In 2022, he was actively involved in the negotiations of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) on behalf of the French Ministry of Environment during the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union and later for the European Commission under trialogue negotiations . Since 2023, he has been contributing to the development and implementation of the EUDR within the European Commission, supporting and preparing the effective entry into application.
